Honda scooters next plant in andhra pradhesh

The MD of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation said that the government has offered lands in Medak and Nalgonda districts, to an extent of 100 acres to Honda. In reply, Honda Motors said it will start constructing the facility on two phases with Rs500 crore investment each. This facility will be made to deliver 2000 units per month initially which will be increased on phases, said the MD. She said the government is expecting a final version from HMSI.

As such Honda Motors has two facilities- Manesar with annual capacity of 1.55 million units and Tapukera with the annual capacity of 6 lakh units which is under process. The proposed one in AP will be the first in South India for HMSI.

According to an official news from the government side, two more global makers, Camozzi of Italy and Hyosung Corporation of Korea, are entering into the state with the investment of Rs300 crore and Rs450 crore respectively. Of these, Camozzi will be setting up a textile unit and industrial units near Hyderabad at an extent of 20 acres of land. Hyosung Corporation is setting up its power and industrial system plant for transformers manufacturing at an extent of 25 acres of land. The plant will come off near the NTPC-BHEL project in Tirupati district. The government official said the proposals from the Korean company have already come and the scrutiny process is on with the government at full swing.
